Latest Ruggedized Sonim XP5300 Force 3G

XP5300 Force 3G phones are the latest ruggedized Sonim, adds 3G connection against the model XP3300 and XP1300.

Sonim's Comprehensive 3 Year Warranty

If during the three year warranty period the product fails to operate under normal use and service due to defects in design, material or workmanship the customer should utilize the following process:
  1. The Customer should directly contact the closest in-country, in region, repair facility. The Malaysia Support Centre contact details are at the foot of this page. Contact details for other countries support centres can be found at www.sonimtech.com/support. 
  2. Once the in-country repair center help desk is contacted, they will aid the customer in characterizing the problem. In many cases the issue can be resolved without sending the device into the repair center.  If the help desk cannot resolve the issue with the customer on the phone, they will provide the customer a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number and address in which to return the unit. Getting the RMA number and including it with the device will expedite the repair process.
  3. To expedite the warranty and repair process even further, and to alleviate the need to find and bring in the original sales receipt,  the reseller should direct and encourage the end user to return the product warranty registration card enclosed with the new product packaging and user manual, to Sonim Technology with 10 days of purchase. Sonim will warrant the product without registration, as long as a copy of the original product purchase receipt is included in the return packaging with date, serial number and customer name and return shipment data, but it could delay the repair and the processing of the customers unit. 

Sonim’s Comprehensive 3 Year Warranty encompasses the following:
  1. The unit is warranted for 39 months from shipment to the distributor/reseller. The reseller will pass on 36 months of warranty to the end user customer. Should the reseller not sell a unit within 3 months of shipment, they may contact Sonim’s help desk and request an extension to the warranty. It is strictly up to Sonim as to whether an extension is granted or not. Should a distributor/reseller have any questions on the actual ship date of a given product please contact Sonim and we will verify the ship date for you.
  2. If during the 36 month comprehensive warranty period the product fails to operate under normal use and service, due to defects in design, material or workmanship, Sonim’s repair center will repair or replace the unit at the sole discretion of Sonim. Sonim’s ultimate goal is to repair all units and return the original unit to the end user customer. This eases the ability to track assets by the user.
  3. Sonim’s repair center will receive the unit and within 5 days of receipt at the repair facility, they will ship the repaired unit or a replacement unit, at the sole discretion of Sonim, back to the customer. No product will be exchanged for a new or refurbished product until the end user’s original unit has been received by the Authorized Sonim Repair facility.
  4. Embedded Software: Unlike other manufacturers, Sonim warrants the embedded software on the Sonim device for 90 days after purchase.
  5. The warranty is only valid if the original proof of purchase issued to the original purchaser by a Sonim authorized dealer, specifying the date of purchase and serial number for this product, is presented with the Product to be repaired. A copy of that original sales receipt should accompany the product to the repair center, unless the product has been pre-registered as recommended to the customer by the reseller. Sonim has the right to refuse warranty service if this information has been removed or changed after the original purchase of the Product from the dealer.
  6. The warranty is only valid if the unit is returned to the Sonim Authorized repair facility, in once piece, i.e. ‘intact’, as it was when shipped to the distributor/reseller.
  7. If Sonim repairs or replaces the product, the repaired or replacement product shall be warranted for 90 days from the time of repair, or until the end of the original warranty period whichever is longer. If so chosen by Sonim to replace the unit, the unit may be replaced by a refurbished unit of equivalent or better functionality. But Sonim’s number one goal is to return the same unit to the end user that was purchased by the end user.

Sonim’s 3 Year Warranty does not cover the following:
  1. This warranty does not cover any failure of the product due to normal wear and tear, as defined as cosmetic issues gained under normal use such as, but not limited to, scratches on LCD screens and cases.
  2. This warranty does not cover any failure of the product due to accident, abuse or misuse of the product from its intended use according to Sonim’s instructions for use and normal maintenance of the Product.
  3. This warranty does not cover 3rd party software loaded onto the device, via self loading or downloads from the internet, and not designed, manufactured or certified by Sonim Technologies.
  4. This warranty does not cover damage caused by software or hardware modifications or adjustments to the product performed by someone other than Sonim Technologies.
  5. This warranty does not cover damage to a unit caused by electrical shorts due to power surges while charging, lightning strikes while in a charger, fire, floods, hurricanes, tornado’s and any other acts of God.
  6. A rechargeable battery can be charged and discharged hundreds of times but they will eventually wear out, which is not a warranted defect.  This warranty does not cover the replacement of batteries whose capacity diminishes over time in normal fashion. Sonim does recommend replacement of these batteries with Sonim approved replacements for best performance.
  7. This warranty does not cover product failures caused by modifications, installations, opening the device or attempts to repair the device by someone other than a technician in an authorized Sonim repair center.
  8. This warranty does not cover product failures created and caused by the use of accessories or other peripheral devices which are not Sonim branded original accessories intended for use with the Sonim product.
  9. The warranty is good for the original purchaser of the product only.
